Raila’s Last Phone Call With Magoha Revealed

On Wednesday, January 25, Azimio la Umoja Leader Raila Odinga revealed details of the last conversation he had with former Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) George Magoha.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader spoke after visiting the bereaved family and noted that they had a phone conversation two weeks ago in which they discussed Maghoha’s potential move to Maseno University.

The duo had also held conversations on burial preparations for Magoha’s brother, who is set to be laid to rest on Saturday, January 28.

Raila described Magoha’s death as a massive loss to the nation, describing him as a man who dedicated his life to helping Kenyans.

Former Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, who served in the same cabinet as Magoha, also noted that he was shocked to learn about his death after having spent the previous afternoon together.

According to Tuju, Magoha was in high spirits and showed no signs of illness, save for a moment when he stated that he felt exhausted.

Magoha was at the center of the team that was working on the preparations for the burial of his brother, who had passed away while in the United States.

Tuju noted that the passing of Magoha is a reminder to all of us that we are mere mortals and that as colleagues, they are devastated.

Plans to bury Magoha’s brother were underway in a ceremony scheduled for Saturday, January 25.

However, the date for Magoha’s burial was not confirmed at the time of publication.

This sudden and untimely loss is a reminder that life is fragile and we should cherish every moment we have with our loved ones and colleagues.

Magoha’s dedication and commitment to helping Kenyans will not be forgotten and his legacy will live on through his work and the impact he had on the lives of many.
