Primary Teachers with Upgraded Diplomas Gain an Edge in Upcoming Recruitment.
Primary school teachers who upgraded their Primary Teacher Education (PTE) certificates to the Diploma Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) are set to benefit in the upcoming teacher replacements.
During a stakeholder engagement forum at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) headquarters in Nairobi, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia confirmed that these teachers would receive five additional marks compared to those holding only PTE certificates.
This move addresses questions raised about the Commission’s support for P1 teachers who undertook the required upgrades.
