Base Titanium is the operator of Kenya’s first large-scale mining project, the Kwale
Mine. Minerals are exported through the company’s ship-loading facility in Likoni.
Base Titanium places a strong emphasis on building relationships with the communities in
which it operates and is committed to establishing a balanced flow of mutual benefits.
As part of its community development programme Base is offering 300 Scholarship
Opportunities for Kwale County and Likoni Sub-County students joining Form One
beginning April 2022.
All eligible students must have attained the following in their KCPE 2021 examinations:
– 300 – 349 marks.
– They must also have attended a public primary school, been selected to attend a recognised public boarding school
– Additionally, applicants must provide a copy of a KCPE result slip certified by their former Principal or nearest local education office.
Download the application form from the website www.basetitanium.com. Alternatively, a copy can be collected from Base’s Kwale Mine office at Maumba and the Likoni port facility.
Please note that these forms are issued for free.
Completed applications and supporting documents should be submitted to the Community
Affairs Department at the Mine Site prior to the closing date: 4.00pm Friday 8th April 2022.
Forms will only be received on weekdays, at Base’s gate in Maumba only.

– This form must be filled in accurately and completely in CAPITAL LETTERS.
– On being called for an interview the applicant must bring the originals of all documents attached.
– Every part of this form must be filled. Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.
– Copies of ALL DOCUMENTS required must be provided by the applicant. Applications without relevant documents will be rejected.
– Canvasing will lead to automatic disqualification.
– The completion and submission of this form is not a guarantee of award.
– Any false statements, omissions or forged documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
– Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
– Please note that the deadline for SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS is 4:00PM ON FRIDAY 8th APRIL 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
