Ministry Sounds Alarm Over Rising Second Term Indiscipline in Schools.

The Ministry of Education has expressed concern about increasing indiscipline among students, especially during the second term.

Dr. Elyas Abdi, the Director General Basic Education stated that ministry records showed most incidents of school fires occurred during this period, resulting in significant property damage worth millions of shillings.

Abdi urged education officers and school heads to collaborate with security agencies to address the rising arson cases and restore discipline in schools during the high-risk term.

“Education officers and heads of schools should work closely with the security agencies so that we can stem this arson crisis mainly in the second term,” he said.
