Ministry Issues Directive On 2022 Form 1 Placement.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has issued a circular on Form 1 placement, directing all secondary school Heads of Institutions (HOIs) to ensure they have updated and uploaded school joining instructions.
The directive is intended to ensure that all secondary school letters of admission are up to date with the most recent fee structure, medical forms, personal items, and any other information contained in the letters of admission.
Many schools have been able to update their fees structure in accordance with the fees structure guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education, but have not updated the same on their school joining instructions.
Current Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates will take their national exams next week, between March 7 and 9, 2022.
Following this, their papers will be graded, and the results will be available shortly thereafter. Then comes Form 1 placement.
Below is the circular:

RE: 2022 FORM 1 PLACEMENT PREPARATION – UPLOADING AND UPDATING SCHOOLS JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

As you are aware the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examination will be offered from 7 to 9 March 2022.

Soon after the results of the examination, the Ministry will embark on the form one placement exercise where all eligible candidates will be placed in secondary schools.
School Principals are required to update their schools joining instructions using the link provided in the email forwarding this circular.
The email should therefore be forwarded to the school’s email address for the link to be effective.
ALSO READ:
Those schools that are in the National, Extra County and County categories and do not have their joining instructions online should be in the word except for the school logo.
Sub-county schools will not be expected to upload their joining instruction since the selected students come from around their localities and can pick a hard copy from the schools.
The purpose of this letter is to ask you to cascade this information to Public Secondary Schools in your jurisdiction. Let this exercise be completed by 18 March 2022.
