Meet Wajackoyah; The Ganja Presidential Candidate With 17 degrees
With his durags and professed love for the holy herb, Roots Party presidential candidate Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah, now known as ‘Wajackoyah the Fifth,’ resembles a reggae artist.
Kenyans on social media have been posting memes of the statehouse in smoke, depicting how bhang, which is still illegal in Kenya, will be smoked in celebration of his victory since he announced his candidacy.
However, despite his 17 degrees, the 63-year-old presidential candidate is little known.
Professor Wajackoyah has been practicing law for 25 years and holds a Ph.D. from Walden University.
After graduating from St. Peter Mumias Boys High School in 1980, the professor went on to study policing and criminal investigation at Kenya Police Training College in Kiganjo, where he became a police officer.
He would then enroll in the CID Training School to study security and intelligence.
The academy, which reports to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), was established to improve the capacity and efficiency of Kenyan police officers in conducting criminal investigations.
At the height of the late foreign affairs minister Robert Ouko’s death, the intelligence officer in charge of gathering intelligence on the matter got into trouble with the government, was detained, and tortured.
Following his release, he fled to the United Kingdom, where he farmed while studying law.
He enrolled at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) to pursue a certificate in comparative law before transferring to the University of Westminster to pursue a legal practice course.
Professor Wajackoyah earned a postgraduate diploma at Maastricht University, studied economics and refugee law at World University Service, and earned a bachelor of laws degree at the University of Wolverhampton while living in the UK.
He would also pursue a master’s degree in law at the University of Warwick, as well as another LLM at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies.
He eventually founded an immigration firm before relocating to the United States of America to work as an educator.
There, he earned a master’s degree in law from the University of Baltimore and a master’s degree in philosophy from Walden University.
He also studied criminal and civil litigation at the AmericaHeritage University of Southern California, where he was also an adjunct law professor.
Professor Wajackoyah holds a diploma in French from the Kenya Institute of Administration and a postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. He also studied Kenyan law at Riara University.
He eventually opened an immigration firm before relocating to the United States of America to work as an educator.
There, he earned a Master of Law from the University of Baltimore and a Master of Philosophy from Walden University.
He also studied criminal and civil litigation at the American Heritage University of Southern California, where he was also an adjunct professor of law.
Professor Wajackoyah earned a diploma in French from the Kenya Institute of Administration and a postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. At Riara University, he also studied Kenyan law.
The Ganja president, who also teaches law at United States International University (USIU), is now expected to release his manifesto on July 2, 2022.
He has promised to liberate Kenya and improve its living conditions.
He has also promised to legalize marijuana, which he claims will be exported to generate revenue for the country, as well as snake farming to produce anti-venom.

According to the professor, the snakes will then be exported to countries such as China, where they are considered a delicacy.
If elected, the professor promises to create eight prime ministerships, suspend the constitution for six months, and allow Kenyans to work four days a week, Monday through Thursday.
