Kenyans have built a name for themselves globally by investing in numerous businesses.

James Mulli has become a household figure in Luxembourg due to his investments in the country’s education sector.

Mulli, who attended St Mary’s School alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta and Citizen TV reporter Jeff Koinange, founded the acclaimed European Business University of Luxembourg (EBU) in Wiltz.

EBU specializes in business courses and charges Ksh1.3 million for the entire curriculum.

The almost 9,000-student institution of higher education resides in a 450-year-old castle. Mulli has expanded the university to other nations, with Kenya being his most recent objective.

On September 3, Uhuru’s classmate announced in Kilifi that the university would offer free higher education to Kenyan students.

He explained that the decision would provide Kenyans with access to high-quality education.

“I have 9,000 students, 4,500 of whom are from Kenya. We have a scholarship program, and one of our decisions is to provide free tuition to Africans.

"Kenya will have 85 million inhabitants by the year 2050. Where are they heading? Where will their education come from? This is why we will provide free university courses beginning in September 2022 "He asserted.

The lecturer in finance possesses a graduate degree from Saint Johns University in New York.

"Mulli is a former director of two prominent New York-based global corporations and has extensive experience in the sector as a NASD Series 7 compliance officer for Heyka Capital Management.”
