Little-Known Village School Segero Chesowos Adventist School Shines With 9.9-KCSE Point Mean Grade
The recently released 2023 KCSE results brought unparalleled joy and excitement to the relatively unknown Segero Chesowos Adventist School in Trans Nzoia County.
The jubilation extended beyond the school premises, engulfing the entire Chesewos village, where ecstatic residents joined the celebration.
Among the remarkable success stories is Valencia Kapkarich, one of the six students from this extra-county school who achieved an impressive A-minus.

Reflecting on her journey, Kapkarich shared, “Initially, I felt a bit uncertain, but the teachers were incredibly motivating; that’s why we had that energy.”
Betwel Kemboi, the school’s principal, expressed gratitude, saying, “Our mean target was 9.5, but by God’s grace, He has bestowed upon us more than we dared to ask for.”
Parents and teachers alike commended the 50 students who faced challenges head-on during the KCSE exams and emerged victorious.
Josephat Machogu, the deputy principal, highlighted the exceptional discipline and the students’ reverence for God, along with the unwavering dedication of the teachers.

Out of the 50 students who participated in the 2023 national examinations, six achieved an impressive A-minus, while 34 secured a B-plus, nine attained a B-plain, and one earned a B-minus.
The school’s exceptional performance culminated in a remarkable mean grade of 9.9, showcasing their collective commitment to academic excellence.
