VACANT POST: LIBRARIAN
The school invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following post:
LIBRARIAN – 1 POST
QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Must hold KCSE mean grade of C-(MINUS) and above.
ii. Must be a diploma holder in Library and Information Science or its equivalent. Should be a member of the Kenya Library Association.
iii. Must have knowledge to work with databases and integrated library systems.
iv. Must be aware of current trends in library services for children and young adults.
v. Previous work experience in a public school will be an added advantage.
vi. Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili.
vii. Must have the ability to work with minimum supervision.
viii. Experience in developing and managing a school library from scratch is highly desirable.
ix. Must be approachable and have outstanding interpersonal skills. Should be able to lead and manage library projects.
x. Must have a current certificate of good conduct.
xi. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
xii. Must have a health certificate duly signed by a qualified medical practitioner in a public hospital.
xiii. Should be between 35-45 years of age.
