KUCCPS Reopens Course Revision Portal: Step-by-Step Guide for 2024 KCSE Candidates.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially reopened its online portal, giving the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates another chance to revise their course applications.
This move targets students who missed out during the previous application phase, which closed on April 30, 2025.
According to the placement agency, the new revision window runs from May 18 to May 27, 2025. KUCCPS emphasized that all candidates who were not placed in any programme are encouraged to take advantage of this second opportunity to select from the courses still available on the portal.
Eligibility for the Second Revision Window
KUCCPS confirmed that the online application system is active for course revision in preparation for the 2025/2026 university and college placement cycle.
In addition to those who failed to secure placement, the placement body stated that candidates who did not participate in the first application window are also eligible to apply for their preferred programmes during this period.
The placement service explained that the reopened portal will allow such students to review and revise their earlier choices or submit new applications from the list of remaining programmes.
How to Revise Your Application
To begin the revision process, applicants must log into the KUCCPS portal at www.kuccps.ac.ke. Upon accessing the site, candidates will be required to input their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password.

KUCCPS advised students to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or their birth certificate number as the password. Once logged in, users can scroll through the available programmes and either adjust or confirm their course selections as displayed within the brackets.
This development follows the earlier closure of the first application window two weeks ago, during which KUCCPS finalized the initial round of university and college placements. The current revision period provides another opportunity for candidates to secure placement in available courses and institutions.
