KUCCPS Opens Portal for Form 4 Students’ University Course Selection, How to Apply.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the course application portal for 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates who will take their exams in March 2022.
Mercy Wahome, CEO of KUCCPS, stated that the application process had begun following course sensitization training for education stakeholders.
She went on to say that the systems have been automated and that the process will be fair to all candidates who apply.
Furthermore, students interested in applying to Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs) will be able to use the platform for the first time after KUCCPS added TTC placement to the portal.
“KUCCPS will add value to TTC admission by utilising its automated placement system to guarantee fair competition among applicants.
"Affirmative action will also be applied to benefit applicants with disabilities and those from marginalized regions,” she stated.
The placement body has announced 546-degree programs, as well as 218 college courses and 114 certificate courses.
How To Apply
Students must pay Ksh500 in order to open an account with the help of their teachers and school administrators.
Candidates will register for the programs after entering their KCSE index numbers, KCSE year, and creating a password on the placement portal.
Applicants should also use their KCSE index numbers or birth certificate numbers as their initial passwords.
“Use Your Birth Certificate No. / KCPE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password,” read a statement in the KUCCPS application portal.
