KUCCPS Offers 2nd Chance To 2020, 2021 KCSE Candidates; How To Apply Courses.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is giving students who took their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination between 2000 and 2021 a second chance.
In a statement issued on Thursday, February 10, KUCCPS announced that candidates who took their KCSE between 2000 and 2020 would be able to hone their skills through government-sponsored programs.
Former KCSE candidates who sat for their exams between 2000 and 2021 and were not placed by the placement service now have the opportunity to pursue a TVET course, according to KUCCPS.
If interested candidates were not selected for any college opportunities, the placement service encouraged them to apply for new ones.
Candidates were also asked to apply through KUCCPS’s portal for a chance to pursue their desired career under government sponsorship.
“Did you sit the KCSE exam between 2000 and 2021 and haven’t been placed by KUCCPS to undertake a TVET course? Our portal is now open for applications. Apply for a chance to pursue your career of choice under government sponsorship,” the placement service stated.

“The ongoing TVET course application is open to anyone who sat KCSE last year (2021) up to 2000, provided one has never been selected to join a college by KUCCPS.”
Candidates who have completed the KCSE can now apply for diplomas, certificates, and artisan courses through the KUCCPS portal.
Applicants for artisan certificate courses must have a minimum KCSE grade of E, while those applying for craft certificate courses must have a mean grade of D (plain) or higher. Those wishing to apply for diploma courses, on the other hand, should have a mean grade of C- (minus) or higher.
