An analysis on the expenses associated with the most expensive degree program for the 2022/2023 academic year indicates that students enrolled in Dental Surgery at Moi University face an annual fee of Ksh780,000. Conversely, the University of Nairobi charges Ksh613,000, representing a Ksh167,000 difference compared to Moi University in Eldoret.

The second most expensive program in the country is a degree in medicine and surgery, with a majority of universities requiring fees exceeding Ksh600,000. At Egerton University, first-year students pursuing a degree in Medicine incur costs of Ksh643,940, while their counterparts at the University of Nairobi pay Ksh635,000 in fees.

According to KUCCPS, veterinary medicine courses are also among the most expensive programs in the country, with Egerton University and the University of Nairobi charging Ksh516,340 and Ksh521,000 per year, respectively.

Noteworthy mentions in the list of expensive courses include the Bachelor of Pharmacy program, which is priced at Ksh492,660 at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Ksh487,000 at the University of Nairobi.

In the realm of engineering, the University of Nairobi stands out as offering the most expensive programs in mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, with degree fees amounting to Ksh441,000. The Technical University of Kenya (TUK) provides these courses at a slightly lower cost of Ksh404,200.
