KUCCPS Extends Application Deadline
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has extended the application deadline for the placement of students to universities and colleges in Kenya. This move aims to ensure that all eligible candidates have ample time to apply and secure their positions in various institutions.
The application process, which initially commenced on February 7, 2024, targets the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates and Form Four leavers from other years up to 2000.

While the 2023 candidates are eligible to apply for degree programs in universities, those from other years can apply for courses offered at the Open University of Kenya, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Teacher Training Colleges, and the Kenya Medical Training College.
In response to the growing demand for degree programs, KUCCPS encourages applicants with mean grades between C and E to explore the available TVET opportunities. Notably, applicants with grades of D+ and E are encouraged to apply, and they are urged to seek assistance by visiting their nearest TVET institution.
Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome, the Chief Executive Officer of KUCCPS, emphasized the organization’s commitment to ensuring that all applicants receive adequate support throughout the application process.

Collaborative efforts with Huduma Centres, universities, and colleges aim to provide guidance and assistance to applicants. A comprehensive list of support centers is available on the KUCCPS website.
Dr. Wahome reassured all prospective applicants that the KUCCPS portal is equipped to cater to their needs, emphasizing that no one will be left behind in the pursuit of training opportunities.
