KNQA Introduces Certification for Informal Sector Skills
The Kenya National Qualification Authority (KNQA) has implemented a system for certifying informal sector-qualified laborers.
This is a relief for thousands of young people who have acquired skills but have either dropped out of school or failed to meet the requirements for admission to higher education institutions.
Dr. Alice Kande, acting director general of the KNQA, stated that the “Recognition of Prior Learning” program would ensure that more graduates from vocational training centers can secure employment.
Dr. Kande was grateful to the new council that will ensure the necessary policies’ development.
