KNEC Announces Collection of 2022 KCPE Certificates and 2023 KCSE Result Slips

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has instructed all candidates who participated in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) to retrieve their certificates from their respective schools.

Additionally, KNEC has advised candidates who took the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to collect their result slips.

According to a statement released by KNEC, both the KCPE certificates and KCSE result slips have been dispatched to all schools that presented candidates for these examinations.

Candidates and their parents or guardians are encouraged to visit their respective schools to collect these important documents within a 30-day window.

KNEC emphasized that any concerns or disputes regarding examination results or certificates must be addressed through the Heads of Schools and the Sub County Directors of Education.

The statement further stated that appeal documents should reach KNEC no later than 30 days after the release of the examination results/certificates; otherwise, a penalty will be imposed.

In the 2022 KCPE examinations, a total of 1,230,588 candidates participated, all of whom are eligible for admission to Form One in accordance with the government’s 100 percent transition policy.

Meanwhile, the 2023 KCSE exams saw 899,453 candidates, marking a two percent increase from the previous year’s numbers.

Lastly, KNEC has initiated the registration process for the Kenya Primary School Assessment (KPSEA) and KCSE 2024 exams, directing teachers to ensure that eligible candidates are registered by March 29, 2024.

All examination centers are required to log onto a platform for specific examinations and enter candidates’ details using the school registration password.
