KMTC/UNHCR Sponsorship: Certificate in Community Health Nursing

Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), a 150 9001:2015 certified institution, is pleased to announce sponsored training opportunities for the Certificate in Community Health Nursing for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This collaborative initiative involves the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the County Government of Turkana.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Course: Certificate in Community Health Nursing
  • Duration: 2 Years
  • Campus: KMTC Lodwar

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. K.C.S.E Mean Grade C- or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Minimum C- in English or Kiswahili.
  3. Minimum C- in Biology.
  4. Minimum D+ in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  5. Must be from Turkana County or the Kakuma/Kalobeyei Refugee Camps.
  6. Require a letter of introduction from the area Chief (for local applicants) or a manager/UNHCR official in the Kakuma/Kalobeyei Refugee Camps.
  7. Submission of a brief essay (not exceeding 200 words) stating why they wish to take the course under the scholarship.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Applications should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, KMTC, through the KMTC application portal by the deadline of 15th March 2024. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the KMTC admissions page admissions.kmtc.ac.ke.
  2. If registered, log in using your email and password; if not, click on the Register button.
  3. Fill in the online application form step by step until duly filled.
  4. Click on the SUBMIT button.
  5. Confirm the accuracy of the information.
  6. Click Save changes.
  7. On the dashboard, click on ‘Apply UNHCR Scholarship.’
  8. Fill the required information and review the UNHCR form.
  9. Print the duly completed form, attach relevant documents, sign, stamp, and send it to:The Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Medical Training College, P.O. Box 30195-00100, NAIROBI

NOTE: For applicants from Kakuma and Kolobeyei refugee camps, when filling the biodata, under NATIONALITY capture your Country of origin. Under COUNTY, SUB COUNTY AND CONSTITUENCY, choose the option FOREIGN.
