KMTC Courses Application Open on KUCCPS Portal
Applying to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is now possible via the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) website.
Saturday marked the launch of the KUCCPS portal, with 30 KMTC programs available for application. Community health nursing, mental health and psychiatry, midwifery, radiography and imaging, medical laboratory sciences, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and public health are among the programs offered at the diploma and certificate levels.
The application is directed toward individuals who passed the KCSE examination between 2013 and 2022. The application deadline is scheduled on August 4, 2023.
Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome, chief executive officer of KUCCPS, remarked that this is a significant achievement because KMTC and KUCCPS share the goal of expanding access to quality higher education and training opportunities for all Kenyans.
She added that offering KMTC courses on the KUCCPS platform would assure equal, fair, and balanced access to training opportunities.
In addition, KUCCPS maintains a database containing the KCSE examination results of all potential applicants; therefore, applicants are not required to submit their results.
The KUCCPS Student’s Portal, students.kuccps.net, contains a catalog of all the available programs at the 83 KMTC campuses across the nation, as well as the minimum subject requirements.
With the incorporation of KMTC into KUCCPS, the Placement Service is now able to position students in degree, diploma, certificate, and artisan courses at 289 public training institutions and 30 private universities in Kenya.
The application deadline for enrollment into diploma programs at primary Teacher Training Colleges has been extended until August 4, 2023.
All other application requirements remain unchanged from the original posting.
