Kibabii TTC Rocks Drama Festival. Spectacular Performances by Schools
Kibabii Teachers Training College (TTC) recently performed a play titled “The Report,” which raises serious allegations against top police officials in Kenya’s cattle rustling problem. Despite the significant investment by security forces to tackle this issue, the play suggests that it will continue to be a problem until the root cause is addressed.
The play follows the story of Nick, an investigator who is driven by personal experience, having lost both his father and mother to banditry. Nick faces many challenges in his efforts to uncover the faces behind cattle rustling, but he is driven by new revelations that continue to emerge.
However, he faces another hurdle when he discovers that his wife is having an affair with his immediate boss, Zadock, who is secretly involved in sharing intel with rustlers.
The play implies that the head of the Department of Criminal Investigations is involved in the sharing of information with rustlers, which is used to make a profit from selling stolen beef from slaughtered cattle in the bush.
Fortunately, the Inspector General of Police investigates the inside job and eliminates the cartels, putting an end to cattle rustling for good.

In another play titled “Alexis,” produced by Victor Mkanda and presented by St Mary’s School Yala, a patient receives a life-saving heart transplant. After the procedure, the patient recovers and returns to work as a paediatrician, but with a strange attachment to music.
