Kenyan Students Encouraged to Embrace International Education Exchange Programs
Kenyan students have been encouraged to fully exploit the education exchange programmes of international colleges to promote cultural diversity and academic excellence and effectively compete in the global market.
Professor Gitau Kamau, coordinator and chairman of business at Zetech University, emphasised the importance of embracing scholarship opportunities offered to Kenyan students for further studies abroad.

He stated that in today’s globally diverse world, the aim is to prepare students for local and international market dynamics by partnering with international universities for continued support.
Dr. Dayle Smith’s American delegation provided students with insights on competitive sustainable courses in sociology, health, engineering, and business, as well as collaborative projects for expert development.
They emphasised the significance of initiatives like the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition (IBESCC), an online competition prioritising societal, environmental, and financial aspects of business problems.
The exchange programme aims to enhance students’ academic achievements and foster mutual understanding and friendship between Kenya and America, promoting appreciation and respect for each other’s cultures. Prioritising Kenya’s promising, gifted youth population is crucial in efforts to revitalise the global economy.

During the meeting, the delegation explored the programmes offered at the institution, including robotics, artificial intelligence, and carbon emissions solutions. Discussions ensued on forming a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to facilitate joint research, student exchange programmes, and staff capacity-building initiatives.
Prof. Kamau highlighted the collaboration among universities to enhance faculty expertise through joint training programmes, workshops, and seminars. This fosters a culture of collaboration and learning for excellence in teaching, research, and service delivery.
