Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) Ranked Among Top Universities In Africa
Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) has achieved recognition as one of the leading 100 universities in Africa, according to the 2023 University Ranking report by UniRanks.
The private institution, established in 1997, secured its position among the top nine universities in Kenya, as disclosed in a statement by KEMU reported by Citizen Digital.
In response to this notable accomplishment, KEMU emphasized its commitment to leveraging this achievement as a catalyst for further advancements.

The university expressed pride in being one of only nine Kenyan universities to secure a position on the prestigious list. KEMU underscored that the ranking serves not only as an honor but also as a compelling call to action to enhance educational offerings.
Located in Meru, Meru County, KEMU is a non-profit university formally associated with the Christian-Methodist religion. The institution boasts a main campus in Meru, along with additional campuses in Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa.
Offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four schools, the 26-year-old university is dedicated to delivering quality education.

UniRank, which assesses over 13,900 universities and colleges across 200 countries, revealed that eight other Kenyan universities also earned positions in the top 100 universities in Africa.
The rankings were determined based on various performance indicators, including research, knowledge transfer, international outlook, teaching, and accreditation by relevant higher education bodies in respective countries.
