KCSE Exam Results Out On Friday

The 2022 KCSE examination results are anticipated to be revealed today on Friday, ahead of the start of the academic year on January 23.

According to Ministry sources, marking is complete and the results are ready for release.

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu during the release of KCPE results, it was suggested that secondary education exam results would be available before schools resume.

Between February 28 and April 1, 2022, about 884,263 candidates took the national examination.

The exam marking procedure, which began on 2 January 2023, was disrupted at one center after a group of teachers walked off the job, citing insufficient pay and unfavorable working conditions.

The examiners of Christian Religious Education (CRE) Paper One at St Francis Girls in Mang’u threatened to withhold the test results.

Nevertheless, marking proceeded after intervention by senior Ministry officials.

The CS will likely make the announcement at the offices of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).

Similarly to the KCPE results, the CS is not likely to announce which candidate or school performed the best on the examinations.

This conforms to the current government objective of preventing unhealthy competition among schools and candidates.

Previously, the government forbade rating but disclosed the identities of high-achieving candidates and their schools.

Kenya High School topped the 2021 test results with a mean score of 10.467, followed by Kapsabet Boys with 10.11 points.

Kisima, who is relatively unknown, Mixed in Nyandarua came in third place with an average score of 10.

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education was taken by 884,263 candidates in 2013.

There were 405,962 male candidates and 420,845 female applicants.

441 KCSE candidates’ results were voided in 2021 due to exam violations such as the use of mobile phones, the introduction of unapproved materials, and impersonation.

In past years, any students with a grade point average of C+ or higher were entitled to enroll for government-sponsored degree programs.

With President William Ruto’s intention to reform university finance, however, parents are preparing for new rules.
