KCSE 2023 SUPERVISOR LEADS TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE WITH EREGI GIRLS HIGH STUDENTS LEADERSHIP
In a remarkable display of commitment to environmental conservation and in response to the call for increasing tree cover in Kenya, KCSE Supervisor Malata Benson, a Kiswahili guru, planted 18 trees with 13 student leaders at Eregi Girls High School.
This initiative not only contributes to the national 15 billion tree-planting goal by 2032 but also promotes a spirit of peace, honor, and love for the nation.
Mr. Benson, who also serves as the Deputy Senior Master Boarding at Musingu School, has been instrumental in promoting tree planting during his visits to various schools.

Additionally, he has actively involved his close family members in this noble endeavor. He sources tree seedlings from local markets, such as Malinya and Khayega markets in Kakamega South and Kakamega East.
This tree-planting endeavor took place during the lunch break and was joined by 13 student leaders who actively participated in this noble cause. The initiative signifies peace, honor, and love for the nation, as it contributes to the broader goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032.

With an unwavering dedication to environmental conservation, Mr. Benson encourages everyone to join in increasing the nation’s green cover. He extends a welcoming offer for those unable to plant tree seedlings themselves; for a small fee of 10 KES, he is willing to purchase, plant, and share a photo of the planted tree.
