District Criminal Investigation Officers (DCIO) escorted the suspects to the Ruaraka police station after the arrests.
These arrests occurred shortly after Education PS Belio Kipsang’s statement on Saturday, October 28. Kipsang mentioned that the Ministry of Education had been actively addressing the problem of exam cheating.
He underscored the significance of sealing off vulnerabilities that contribute to cheating and announced the implementation of comprehensive measures to prevent the early exposure of examination materials, emphasizing that exam leakage is a severe offense.
The Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) for Mathare Sub County and the Sub County Education Officer were at the arrest scene.

Meanwhile, on Monday, a Kiambu teacher, who had been apprehended on Thursday for allegedly distributing national examination papers, pleaded not guilty before a court in Nairobi.
Nicholas Ngumbau, appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Benard Ochoi, faced accusations of creating 10 accounts on WhatsApp and Telegram to sell KPCE examination papers for Ksh.1,500 and Ksh.2,000, with an accompanying marking scheme.
The court directed Ngumbau to post a Ksh.100,000 cash bail and designate one contact person or an alternative Ksh.200,000 bond with two sureties.
Detectives arrested the teacher in the Gikambura area of Kiambu last Thursday, having infiltrated his groups by posing as students interested in purchasing the examination papers.
