KCPE Candidate Sits Exam in Hospital After Giving Birth

A 17-year-old KCPE candidate completed her day one examination at Lodwar County Referral Hospital on Monday.

The Director of Lodwar County Referral Hospital (LCRH), Joseph Epem, has verified this incident.

Epem disclosed that a 17-year-old resident of Lodwar Township Ward, who recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy last Friday, is the student in question.

“We have a single student, a 17-year-old KCPE candidate, who is taking her exams in the maternity wing due to being a victim of defilement,” he explained.

“We are calling for the apprehension of the perpetrator to face legal consequences, aiming to curb cases of underage pregnancies.”

The student’s aunt, who is caring for her at the facility, is making an appeal for assistance from well-wishers to provide the child with the necessary essential items.
