The number of candidates scheduled to take the KPSEA assessments is 1,282,574.

In the current year, 1,415,315 candidates are expected to sit for the KCPE exams, which is an increase of 170,982 candidates compared to the previous year.

The increase in candidate numbers results from the fact that this year’s KCPE signifies the last implementation of the 8-4-4 primary school system, which is motivating individuals who may have dropped out earlier to seize this final opportunity to participate in the examination.
