Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has received an honorary degree from Northwestern Christian University.
The degree, which recognizes his contributions to leadership, administration, and management, was conferred during a graduation ceremony held at Eldoret Polytechnic.
MP’s Remarks
Sudi expressed his gratitude for the award, noting that it highlighted the boundless possibilities of education.
He remarked that education truly has no limits and viewed the recognition as a significant milestone in his life.
“I am deeply honoured to receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership, Administration, and Management from Northwestern Christian University at The Eldoret National Polytechnic. This recognition underscores the limitless nature of education—it truly has no limits,” said Sudi.
Celebration of Graduates
In addition to receiving his honorary doctorate, Sudi extended his congratulations to the other graduates who were also honored during the ceremony.
Oscar Sudi attributed his success to critics who have questioned his academic credentials. While addressing an audience at an event, Sudi explained that his primary motivation has been to defy those who doubt his educational background.
He shared that he married at a young age and is proud to have two children who graduated from universities in London, completing their master’s degrees. He revealed that his pursuit of education is driven by a desire to counter negative remarks about his own schooling.
Sudi stressed the value of education and clarified that his priority is ensuring his children receive quality education. He stated that criticism about his educational level does not concern him as much as his focus on his children’s academic achievements.

Sudi’s Legal Challenges
The event was graced by prominent figures, including Mining and Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Sirisia MP John Waluke, and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
Oscar Sudi’s educational qualifications have faced scrutiny in the past. In 2022, he was charged with forging a Diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate, allegedly from Highway Secondary School in Nairobi. However, he was later acquitted of these charges.
