Kagumo High School Celebrates Impressive 2024 KCSE Results.
Celebrations erupted at Kagumo High School following the announcement of the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results.
The school is among those that achieved remarkable performance in the exams, which were officially released by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba on Thursday, January 9.
The school principal, Silas Mwirigi, shared that Kagumo High had received the results for all 447 candidates.
He revealed that 423 of these students had secured a university-entry grade. Among them, 41 students earned straight A’s, while 100 achieved an A- (minus), and 116 obtained a B+ (plus).
Only two candidates scored a D+ (plus). Principal Mwirigi expressed his joy, stating that the results had exceeded expectations, particularly given the large size of the cohort.

Mwirigi highlighted that the results were impressive, especially when compared to the previous year’s performance. With a class size of 447 candidates, he emphasized that the 2024 results were a significant achievement, reflecting the hard work of both students and teachers.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba also addressed the media, revealing that 962,512 candidates had taken the 2024 KCSE exams. He further disclosed that 48,333 of them had scored a grade E.
