Kabianga High Emerge The Most Preferred School By Form Ones

Candidates for the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) chose Kabianga High School over other top-tier national schools on the list.

On January 16, while releasing Form One placement results, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu remarked that the institution got 153,108 applications for only 768 spaces available.

Nanyuki High School came in second with 148,827 applications, followed by Nyandarua High School with 137,511 applications, Pangani Girls with 119,265 applications, and Maseno High School with 105,504 applications.

Kabianga supplanted Nanyuki High School, which had received the most applicants for two consecutive years, 2022 and 2021.

In 2022, former Education CS George Magoha said that Kabianga had received more than 149,087 applications out of a total capacity of 528, making it the second most popular school that year.The school achieved a mean score of 7.7047 on the 2019 KCSE examinations and was placed ninth in Kericho county.

As a public national school, the institution is proud of its reputation as the “school of champions.”

According to the school’s official website, the school is located in Belgut sub-county, Kabianga Sub-location, Kericho County, and has a student capacity of over 2,000.

The motto of Kabianga is “Hard Work and Discipline for Success,” and the school’s goal statement is “To be a model in academic excellence.”

“Our purpose is to instill in our students the foundation necessary to go out into the world as lifelong learners, well prepared for higher learning institutions and for life,” read part of the school’s profile on their website. 

The school provides teachers with three online channels: zeraki learning, Google classroom, and Microsoft office 365.

Zeraki learning employs technology to address some of the most difficult obstacles to providing decent education in Africa.

Stephen Letoo of Citizen Television, former Energy Secretary Charles Keter, and Manuel Chogge, CEO of Chogge Brothers Limited, are notable alumni of the institution.
