
Junior Secondary Deployment: TSC Extends Application Deadline; How to Apply
On March 8th, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) reopened its online portal to allow primary school teachers with the required qualifications to apply for deployment to Junior Secondary Schools in Kenya.
The application period has been extended to March 22nd to address the shortage of teachers in these schools. However, TSC has not disclosed the number of teachers set to be recruited in the next exercise.
To qualify for the positions, teachers must have attained at least a C+ mean grade in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and a C+ in two teaching subjects in the same examination.
In addition, they must have at least eight units in each of the two teaching subjects and currently be serving as a primary school teacher under TSC.
