The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) has announced Job Vacancies and is inviting applications from qualified citizens. The authority seeks to recruit highly motivated, visionary, dynamic, and results-oriented individuals.

Application Deadline and Submission Details

Candidates have until 6th January 2025 to submit their applications. The detailed job descriptions and requirements are available on the KNQA website (knqa.go.ke) under the opportunities portal.

Applicants are required to submit their applications online through the portal, with all testimonials uploaded as specified. Applications must be submitted by midnight EAT on 6th January 2025.

The KNQA emphasized that applicants will receive a system-generated email notification confirming the successful submission of their job applications.

  • Director Qualifications Framework Policy and Registration – one position
  • Director Qualifications Framework Standards and Alignment – one position
  • Corporation Secretary and Director Legal Services – one position
  • Deputy Director Strategy Planning and Performance Management – one position
  • Principal Corporate Communication Officer (replacement) – one position
  • Driver – one position

Additional Requirements and Notices

The KNQA noted that no fees are charged during the recruitment process and encouraged persons with disabilities, women, marginalized, and minority groups to apply.

Candidates presenting academic qualifications from foreign institutions must include a recognition and equation certificate from the relevant body in Kenya.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The authority stated that canvassing would result in automatic disqualification.

Documents Required for Successful Applicants

Successful candidates will need to fulfill Chapter Six requirements of the Kenyan Constitution. The following documents will be required:

  • Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
  • Clearance or compliance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

The KNQA is established under the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) Act Cap 214 and operates under the Ministry of Education. Its mandate includes coordinating and harmonizing education, training, assessment, and quality assurance of qualifications awarded in Kenya, aiming to improve quality and ensure international comparability.
