Investigations Into Ebby’s Death Reveals She Was Assaulted By The School Over Her Hair Style.
On January 10, this year, the director of the DCI’s Homicide division took over investigations into the murder of Ebby Noelle Samuel, who was a student at Gatanga CMM Secondary School, now St Anuarite Gatanga Girl’s School, at the time of her death.
Ebby, a form one student at the school, died on the night of March 8-9, 2019, under mysterious circumstances, with the school administration claiming that the form one student had fallen from her bed the night before her classmates noticed her motionless body.
The detectives sought to record statements from witnesses, including Ebby’s friends and classmates, in order to establish the actual circumstances that led to Ebby’s death, and on January 11, a team of seasoned homicide detectives was dispatched for the assignment.
However, they found the school environment to be intimidating for the witnesses and decided to take their statements after the schools were closed for the holiday.
So far, detectives have collected several statements that all contradict the school administration’s account.
The team discovered that on a fateful night, Ebby was severely assaulted by a senior member of the school administration over allegations that her hair was styled in violation of school regulations.
This occurred during evening preparations, just minutes before the 9 p.m. bedtime bell rang.
With severe injuries, Ebby retired to bed that night. That was the last time Ebby’s friends saw her alive, as their efforts the next morning to wake her up proved futile.
An autopsy performed by a government pathologist determined that Ebby died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
The detectives are also looking into a plot to thwart justice by the school administration, which has made contradictory statements and has intimidated students who are willing to give the truth about what happened.
This influenced the detectives’ decision to pay visits to the children in their homes, where they have opened up about what really happened.

The investigations are nearing completion, and it will only be a matter of time before the perpetrators of Ebby’s murder are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions.
“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations assures all students and witnesses in this matter who are willing to volunteer information that their identity shall remain anonymous.” Said DCI.
