We are a high school located on the outskirts of Naivasha Town (Mirera), with the following four goals.

Job Summary
Position: High School Teacher.
Reporting to: The High School Principal.
Minimum Job Responsibilities
– Teaching three different high school subjects and leading at least one co-curricular activity.
– Ensuring the school mission is clearly articulated, shared & understood, by the school stakeholders.
– Build effective relationships with parents, education partners, and all school teachers and staff members.
– Building a strong and cohesive learning culture that is supported by effective systems and structures.
– Providing leadership in guiding students with various co-curricular activities and school-based events.
– Managing learners’ behavior issues, helping develop self-sustaining graduates able to become leaders.
– Accurately evaluate and comment on both the ability and developmental potential of each student.
– Deliver effective, differentiated, and inquiry-based lessons in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
– Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the relevant subject and modern pedagogy.
– Performing other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the PWA School management.
– Commitment to professional growth and to taking on responsibility for fulfilling the vision and philosophy of PWA High School
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
– Holder of a diploma or degree in Education or equivalent qualification
– Combination of two subjects with at least C+
– Three (3) years in a teaching position at a registered High-School.
– Able to show value addition by exercising critical thinking leading to continuous improvement.
– Demonstrate a proven record of classroom instruction, lesson plans, pupil assessment, and development.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable communication with all stakeholders.
– A self-motivated, energetic person who enjoys working in a busy and dynamic working environment.
– The flexibility to learn and adapt to new cultures with good coaching and mentoring skills.
– Demonstrates ability to think and act critically, creatively, and independently.
– A pro-active, mature, and committed individual who can work with minimum supervision.
– A result-oriented personality with computer proficiency in Microsoft packages.
– Must be registered with the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) or other equivalent foreign organisation.
– Professional Development Qualifications in CBC/844 preferable.
