Former Governor Kiraitu Murungi Graduates With Degree in Happiness in New York
Kiraitu Murungi, the former Governor of Meru, recently realized a longstanding aspiration by completing a one-year Degree Course in Happiness Studies from the Happiness Studies Academy (HSA) based in New York.
In a show of accomplishment, Kiraitu expressed his satisfaction with completing the Happiness Studies Degree, sharing a photo with fellow graduates against an HSA backdrop. He declared, “I am now fully equipped to spearhead the happiness revolution in my motherland.”

In a recent talk at Kenya Methodist University, Kiraitu challenged the negative perception of money, asserting his belief that money does indeed buy happiness.
Drawing on psychology studies, he urged a reconsideration of the narrative around money, emphasizing its potential to enhance happiness and bring meaning to life.

The Happiness Studies Academy, situated in New York, champions the happiness revolution by educating leaders committed to personal, interpersonal, and communal flourishing. Kiraitu, a Harvard University Masters Degree holder, faced a political setback in the 2022 General Elections, losing the Meru Gubernatorial seat to Kawira Mwangaza. Despite this defeat, Kiraitu remains committed to fostering positive change and contributing to the wellbeing of individuals and society.
