Form One Students to Report on 15th as Schools Reopen on January 8th
As the festive season unfolds, the Ministry of Education has extended warm wishes to learners, parents, and guardians, ushering in the spirit of Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024.
In a recent announcement, the Ministry has urged parents and guardians to actively guide their children through potential challenges during the break. The focus is particularly on cautioning against the dangers of drug and substance abuse prevalent in certain regions.

Preparation for 2024 School Calendar:
Machogu encouraged Parents to use the holiday period to actively prepare learners for the upcoming 2024 School Calendar. The new academic term will to commence on January 8th, 2024, for Early Childhood Development, Primary, and Secondary schools.
Form One students will report to their new institutions on January 15th, 2024. Field officers from the Ministry of Education will be readily available at their duty stations on all working days.
Field officers will actively assist parents in essential preparations for the upcoming school calendar. The Ministry expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received in 2023.

The collaborative efforts of stakeholders have successfully implemented various reforms aligned with the recommendations of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms Report.
