FACT: TSC Has Not Banned Teachers From Participating In IEBC Jobs

The news that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has warned teachers not to participate in IEBC jobs is FAKE.

The flagged news was posted on several websites stating that the teachers’ employer has warned teachers not to apply for IEBC jobs.

“The measure has been taken by TSC to prevent the teachers from being absent from school during IEBC interviews and training, which will take place during school days.” Reads part of the fake news.

It stated that TSC has issued a harsh warning to any school head who allows teachers to be absent from school in the name of participating in the election process in an evaluative text message sent to school principals and head teachers via Sub-county directors.
