Duale Accuses KNEC Of Planning 2021 KCSE Mass Cancellation Of Results In Northern counties.
According to Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, the Knec is planning a mass cancellation of KCSE exam results in Northern counties.
Duale stated that the cancellation is being done under the guise that the candidates cheated.
According to the DCI’s Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau, the region is to blame for the growing number of cases of illegal exposure of national examination materials.
The investigation reveals that almost all KCSE exam materials recovered during a recent crackdown on exam cheaters were impounded in the three counties.
Following the results of a forensic examination on the mobile phones of four students, the DCI designated the three counties as notorious for exam leakage.
On March 20, the students were arrested for their possible involvement in the crime.
Cases of impersonation have also been reported, raising concerns among industry participants that Knec and the Ministry of Education may have relaxed their guard.
Stakeholders have warned that if exam cheating is not stopped, it will erode the gains that have already been made.

Magoha Reacts To DCI Reports Of KCSE Exam Leakage

Aden Duale, speaking at a graduation ceremony for Madarasatul Tawheed Al Islamiya in Korakora town on Sunday, stated that such attempts will not be tolerated.
“As leaders we are keenly watching and eagerly waiting for the results before we can take our next course of action,” Duale said.
The KCSE exam concluded on Friday. Marking begins this week, and results are expected before the start of the new school year on April 25.
“We want to tell the government and the Education CS George Magoha that we are prepared to challenge such acts in court, if they end up doing so,” Duale said.
He is perplexed as to why Knec would target the region when exams were overseen by supervisors, invigilators, security officers, and other top officials.
