CS Machogu to Release 2023 KCPE Results Today
On Thursday, November 23, 2023, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results are anticipated to be released.
Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu is scheduled to preside over the announcement of examination results at the new Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) headquarters in South B, Nairobi, per a communication from the Education Ministry.
Approximately 1.4 million applicants sat for the KCPE examinations, while 1.2 million took the KPSEA (Grade 6) examinations.
In preparation for the complete implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) in primary schools, which will now require pupils to take the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations, this year’s cohort was the last to complete the KCPE.

It has been 38 years since the KCPE was first administered in the country; this is the final administration.
Except for six instances of attempted cheating, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has stated that no plagiarism occurred during the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examinations.
Machogu stated on Tuesday in Nairobi that the examination administered from October 30 to November 1 had been successfully finished.
In the KCPE results announcement from the previous year, Machogu disclosed that 252 instances of exam malpractice had occurred.
According to him, the candidates were arrested at nine examination centers for committing vice.

The candidates were not given any points for the subjects in which they committed academic dishonesty, as the CS stated at the time.
In contrast, the students were granted their grades, notwithstanding the ministry’s objective of ensuring an exact equivalence to secondary education.
Machogu explained that parents will have sufficient time to locate resources for Form 1 admission by releasing the results early.
