NEMIS is a web-based portal for managing and automating educational data as well as other administrative duties.
The Ministry has created a reporting mechanism that principals at both public and private schools will use to relay each learner’s acceptance online. This will provide real-time data on admission and reporting trends, allowing for more informed decision-making.
Machogu stated that principals will be held accountable for the accuracy, security, and integrity of their schools’ NEMIS data.
Candidates will also be able to download forms with Form One joining instructions from the same website.
As the school sector transitions to the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC), the Form One cohort will be the last to study under the 8-4-4 curriculum.
