Court Withdraws Prof. George Maghoha’s Name From CBC Case

In the ongoing legal proceedings concerning the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) case, the High Court has officially excluded the late Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Maghoha’s name.

This decision followed an application made by lawyer Nelson Havi, who is actively contesting the constitutionality of the new curriculum and sought to remove the late Magoha from the case.

Nelson Havi’s application, seeking the withdrawal of Prof. Magoha’s involvement, was granted by the court. Originally listed as the 8th respondent, Magoha, represented by lawyers Phiilip Murgor and George Ouma, had previously submitted responses and arguments in the case.

Simultaneously, the Attorney General has been directed to submit the CBC Taskforce Report to the respondents within the next seven days. Furthermore, the Attorney General is required to appear in court on February 15 for additional guidance on the matter.
