The government has urged citizens to fully support the competency-based curriculum (CBC) implementation.

Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde described the new education system as a game changer in today’s fast-paced world.

Masinde urged all stakeholders and the general public to embrace and support the implementation of the CBC system, citing its numerous benefits, when he officially opened government-funded CBC classrooms in Transmara West.

He went on to say that, once implemented, the Curriculum will help learners fully realize their potential by sharpening skills and broadening scope.

“We urge Kenyans to accept and support the system since it will help address the needs of our developing economy, create more opportunities and produce well refined all round learners,” he said adding that under CBC, the country will no longer have a shortage of experts in almost all the fields.

The national government funded 125 classrooms in Narok County as part of the CBC enhancement program, which will aid in the anticipated double Form-one intake.
