The minor, who is a student at Ngererit Secondary School in Bomet, had been reported missing by her worried family members.
Authorities received the report at the Mogogosiek Police Station, situated in the North Rift County.

The tip-off revealed that the 25-year-old pastor, identified as Kipkoech Rotich, was spotted with the young girl while attempting to board another vehicle headed towards Kisumu.
Reports indicate that the pastor had been invited to Ngererit Secondary School to deliver sermons. However, what followed his appearance at the school has triggered a wave of concern.
It is alleged that he absconded with the young girl shortly after his visit. The ensuing period saw them evade law enforcement, thereby deepening the mystery surrounding their actions.
