KAMUSINGA BOYS
Kamusinga National School in Bungoma County’s Kimilili Constituency achieved good results in this year’s 2022 KCSE results.
Protus Ndombi, interim principal, told the press on Friday that the good results were due to the hard work and dedication of teachers, the school community, non-teaching staff, parents, and the ministry of education.
“This is the work of our hands, I want to thank the students who were disciplined and worked hard to ensure that our school shines nationally,” Ndombi stated.
Ndombi praised his predecessor, head principle Alex Kariuki, for managing the school and assuring its school.
Ndombi stated that, despite the school’s success, the mean score has fallen from 9.6221 in 2021 to 9.2473 in 2022.
He stated that the school has sent 457 students to university, accounting for 95.81 cent of the total.
He stated that the school registered 477 students who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2022, with 20 of them securing places in TVET colleges, or 4.19 percent.
According to the principal, 11 students received an A plain, 91 received an A- minus, 120 received a B+, 126 received a B plain, 69 received a B- minus, 40 received a C +, 13 received a C plain, 6 received a C – minus, and one received a D+ plus.
The top ten students in the school were as follows: Obuyu Justin (84 points), Victor Mareko (83 points), Kenga Kwicha (83 points), Kipkosgei Collins (82 points), Levy Kalama (82 points), Graham Wesonga (82 points), Sheldon Butaki (82 points), Bravin Victor (81 points), Peter Odhiambo (81 points), and Aungo Yuro (81 points).
Ndombi stated that he is committed to working with all stakeholders to work the school’s performance.
