Academic and Professional Documents Required by TSC During Teachers’ Post-Primary Intern Recruitment

TSC Interns Recruitment Guidelines for Post-Primary Institutions Teacher.

Applicants are required to present originals and reproductions of the following documents upon invitation to an interview:

  • National Identification Card; 
  • Teacher Registration Certificate:
  • Certificate of Diploma or Degree and official transcripts: 
  • KCSE certificates or their equivalent (including certificates for retaken exams):
  • KCPE certificate or it’s equivalent (include certificates for attempts if retaking examinations); 
  • Primary and Secondary School leaving certificates and other pertinent documentation; 
  • National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (if applicable); 
  • An Affidavit sworn according to the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap. 15 of the Laws of Kenya, to explain the difference in names: 
  • Letter of results certification from KNEC (where applicable).

Applicants must present original and legible photocopies of the following academic, professional, and other relevant documents: – 

  • National ID card; 
  • Certificate of Registration as a teacher
  • Diploma/Depree certificate and accompanying transcripts; 
  • KCSE certificates or its equivalent (include certificates for attempts if one re- sat exams); 
  • KCPE certificate or its equivalent (include certificates for attempts if one re-sat exams); 
  • Letter of certification of results by KNEC (where applicable); 
  • Primary and Secondary School leaving certificates and other relevant 

Note: Provisional transcripts are not acceptable.

VALIDATION OF DOCUMENTS BY THE TSC COUNTY DIRECTOR

The TSC County Directors must:

Ensure that the Internship Agreement and the Offer of Internship Letter contain all of the required attachments as specified in the approved checklis.


Examine the recruitment documents to confirm that the applicant(s) recruited meet the requirements for engagement as a teacher intern in accordance with the recruitment guidelines.


Ensure that all documents, including score sheets, Minutes of the Selection Panels, Internship Agreement, and Offer of Internship Letter, are signed as required; Compile complaints received and submit appropriate action taken and recommendations to the Commission.

DOCUMENTS TO BESUBMITTED TO THE TSC HEADQUARTERS


The TSC County Director is required to hand over the following documents to the TSC Headquarters.

  • Duly signed Internship Agreement and Offer of Internship Letter together with:
  • Certified copies of.
  • National Identification Card.
  • Certificate of Registration as a Teacher.
  • Academic certificates.
  • Professional certificates and all official transcripts.
  • Letter of Certification of Results by KNEC. (where applicable).
  • NCPWD Card (if applicable):
  • An Affidavit sworn under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap. 15 of the Laws of Kenya, to explain the variance in names (where applicable);
  • Bank plate/Card (front face):
  • KRA PIN Certificate;
  • NHIF Card.
  • Two (2) passport-size color photographs in respect of successful applicant(s);
  • Original Medical Examination report in form GP 69.
  • A list of all interviewees in order of merit for the advertised vacancies
  • A copy of the system-generated list of all applicants clearly showing those who failed to attend the interview:
  • List of applicants with disabilities
  • Duly signed Minutes of the Selection Panel and the Sub-County Selection Panel:
  • Completed score guide duly signed:
  • Duly completed pay point form.
