37-Year-Old Mother Of 6 To Sit KCSE Exam 14 Years After Dropping Out.
It’s been stated that it’s better to be late than never.
The adage rings true for a 37-year-old mother of six who will be sitting this year’s KCSE exams at Kibisi Friends High School, Bungoma County.
Meatrine Maruti Sikuku sat her Standard Eight test in 1997 and obtained 507 points.
She enrolled at Lugulu High School, but dropped out before Form Two because she was unable to pay the required tuition.
In 2020, Sikuku returned to school and is currently a contender for the KCSE national examination.
She stated, however, that it has been difficult for her to pay for her two children’s college and high school tuition.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination will be administered from 1 to 23 December.
