
23 KCAA-Approved Institutions to Offer Aviation Courses And Training
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) recently revealed a list of 23 institutions that have been approved to provide aviation training.
This move aims to enhance the competence and professionalism of individuals in the aviation sector.
KCAA released a statement containing detailed information about the recognized courses, postal addresses, and locations of these institutions.
Recognized Institutions for Aviation Training
Among the approved institutions are the East African School of Aviation, Kenya School of Flying, Standards Aviation and Flight Training Centre, KQ Pride Centre, Think Aviation Training, Flitestar Academy, and Mt Kenya Flight School.
Additionally, the Ninety-Nines Flying School, Proactive Air Services, Aerolink Flight Centre, Skymax Aviation Ltd, Aerosafe African Consultants, Nairobi Flight Training, Westrift Aviation Ltd, Capital Connect Aviation Supplies, and Pegasus Flyers (EA) Ltd have also received accreditation.
Courses Offered
The KCAA-listed courses include Private Pilots Licence, Commercial Pilots License, Airline Transport Pilot Licence, Instrumental Rating, Flight Operations and Dispatch, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence, and Flight Instructors Rating.
These courses cater to a range of aviation disciplines and contribute to the overall development of skilled professionals in the industry.
Locations of the Institutions
The approved institutions are located at various sites, including Wilson Airport, Malindi Airport, Nyaribu Airstrip, Orly Airport, Old Airport Road, KQ Headquarters, and Nanyuki.

KUCCPS Opens Course Selection Window
The announcement by KCAA follows the recent opening of the course selection window by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to choose and revise their preferred courses.
KUCCPS has set a deadline of June 7, 2023, for candidates to make any necessary changes to their course selections.
The Education Cabinet Secretary expressed satisfaction with the preparations made by KUCCPS, assuring students that all details were in order.
The Cabinet Secretary requested KUCCPS to open the application portal for students to start applying for the courses they wish to study in universities and technical vocational education and training institutions (TVETs).
