2024 Form One Placement Results: How To Check Via Phone or Website
More than one million Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) applicants now know which secondary schools they will attend in January 2024.
While presiding over the 2024 Form One placement at Lenana School on Monday, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu stated that the placements were done based on candidate preferences and other criteria.
“Some students were placed in schools of equivalent standing outside their counties. This includes those from counties with inadequate capacity,” Machogu stated.
Candidates will be admitted to secondary schools inside or outside of their counties as a result of this.

The CS also stated that the government is committed to ensuring a full transition to secondary schools, and that fees for both day and residential institutions will stay intact.
The government said its commitment to providing free day secondary education, which includes funding for tuition and operating expenses. Secondary school tuition will stay unchanged in 2024.
According to Machogu, schools will continue to receive funds based on accurate enrollment data.
Furthermore, the CS recommended candidates’ parents and guardians to download placement letters directly, rather than through middlemen.
Candidates will be able to view their placement results on the Ministry of Education’s website.
They will then seek for Form One placements on the Ministry’s website. This will take them to the Form One selection website, where they will be able to view their placing results.

Candidates will also be able to download forms comprising Form One joining instructions from http://kemis.education.go.ke/.
“I assure Kenyans that this website has been tested and proven and is 100% accurate. It is in operation,” Machogu said.
Furthermore, Belio Kipsang, the Principal Secretary for Basic Education, who was present at the ceremony, emphasized continued work with the National Treasury to accelerate first-term capitation payments for school reopening in January 2024.
“We’re working with Treasury to release capitation for schools; let’s make sure we’re following fee regulations, be careful with communication, and live within the framework that’s been provided.” “Let’s not go against the ministry’s guidelines,” Belio remarked.
This follows CS Machogu‘s declaration last month during the publication of KCPE results, in which he revealed that 8,525 candidates out of 1,406,557 received more than 400 marks, accounting for 0.60% of the class.
