University of La Verne Performance Scholarship For International Students 

In the 2023-24 academic year, the University of La Verne Performance will award two $31,000 per year ($124,000 over four years) scholarships in each of the six academic programs listed below.

Only new freshman, international, and transfer students are eligible for scholarships (must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0). Prior to Fall 2023, applicants may not be enrolled in any La Verne course.

Scholarship Details:

Scholarships are renewed annually for up to four years of undergraduate study depending on academic advancement and engagement in the student’s performance scholarship area.

In addition to this scholarship, students are strongly urged to apply for state and federal financial help.

On Friday, February 24, 2023, select applicants will be asked to attend Performance Scholarship Day. Mid-March will see the announcement of the scholarship awardees.

Performance Scholarship recipients have until April 7, 2023, to accept the scholarship.

Scholarship Prerequisites:

To be eligible for IMES consideration, you must:

Complete and submit the following application materials before 1 February 2023 at midnight.

La Verne University Application (You may use either the La Verne application or the Common Application)

Performance Scholarship Application Supplement (You will need to submit your La Verne application first and set up your admission portal before having access to the Supplemental Application)

Performance Scholarship Recommendation (You may upload this to your application portal after submitting your application, or request that your recommender email it to admission@laverne.edu.)

Area-Specific Requirements (You may upload these to your application portal after application submission)

Resume: Please prepare and upload a one-page resume describing your job experience in relation to the performance scholarship area for which you are applying.

Please note that if you want to submit a test score for admission consideration, the December ACT/SAT is the last test date that will be honored and considered for university admission for performance scholarship applicants.

By mid-February 2023, each department and/or the Dean’s Office will notify applicants of the interview and selection process.

Candidates must have a major or minor in the performance area. Refer to the Area-Specific Requirements.

Applicants may only apply an application for one performance area.

Recipients must enroll full-time at the University of La Verne and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 while attending continuously.

Applicants must be fully admitted high school seniors graduating from high school, eligible transfer students, or international students.

Applications and supporting documentation postmarked after February 1, 2023 will not be accepted.

Scholarship Length and Benefit

Each of the six academic programs will offer two $31,000 per year ($124,000 over four years) scholarships from the University of La Verne.

Available field of study

Two scholarships are offered in each of the six visual and performing arts categories:

– Communications (film and television production) (film and television production)

– Music (voice or instrument) (voice or instrument)

– Photography

– Studies in Rhetoric and Communication (debate)

– Studio Art (any media)

– Theatre (performance or design) (performance or design)

The Drexel University Global Scholar Program recognizes a small number of new international students who have exhibited outstanding academic accomplishments and a strong dedication to global leadership and international community building.

Participants are strongly encouraged to actively engage in peer-to-peer mentoring and leadership development opportunities, as well as team-building exercises and community service.

Requirements for a Scholarship:

To be eligible for consideration for the award, you must:

– First-year international applicants for the fall term.

– Beginning this fall, students who begin full-time enrollment in their first year as Drexel students will be eligible for undergraduate scholarships.

– English Proficiency is a must for applicants.

Duration and Reward of the Scholarship

The following will be provided by Drexel University:

Full-tuition grant – (not applicable to room and board or annual fees).Renewable Requirements: Full-time enrollment and awards are only applicable during class terms and for no more than 12 academic quarters.

The majority of awards are awarded to students when they enroll full-time at Drexel.

Method of application

To win the Drexel Global Scholar program, applicants must submit a complete admission application and the additional Global application, as well as the supporting materials provided on Discover Drexel.

The Western Michigan University Global Education Merit Scholarships are a strong and historic commitment to the success and student of international students.

We are pleased to introduce the 2023 Western Michigan University (WMU) Global Education Merit Scholarship for international students beginning with the 2023 Fall semester and beyond.

The WMU Global Education Merit Scholarship gives a scholarship with annual rewards of $5,000 based on merit to first-time international students for a maximum of four years (dispensed at $2,500 for Fall and Spring semesters) (equal to 8 semesters for Fall and Spring semesters).
