2023 KCPE: How To Check KCPE Results On Your Mobile Phone
On Thursday, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu officially released the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results.
The examination, which marked the conclusion of the 8-4-4 education system in primary schools, saw a total of 1,406,559 candidates participating, with approximately 1.2 million undertaking the KPSEA exams (Grade 6) between October 30 and November 1.
Candidates can send their index number and the word KCPE to the code 40054 to receive their results on their phones for a fee of Ksh. 25 per SMS. For example, if a candidate’s index number is 123456789, they will send 123456789KCPE to 40054.

Among the candidates, 8,523 scored above 400 marks, while 352,782 fell within the 300 to 399 marks range. The 200-299 marks bracket recorded the highest number of candidates at 658,278, and 38,3025 candidates scored between 100 and 199 marks. Those with scores below 99 marks amounted to 2,060.
Headteachers of respective schools have the option to collect the KCPE results from sub-county education centers and can also download and print their students’ results from the KNEC online portal at www.knec-portal.ac.ke.
