2021 KCPE Examination Had No Irregularities, Magoha Says.
Education CS George Magoha says there were no examination irregularities in the 2021 KCPE.
“The exam has been watertight. We only had a few cases of teachers taking photos of the exam once they left the containers. This is why we banned phones from exam centres,” he said.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this examination did not leak”
In his address, Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) chairperson John Onsati stated that the internal examination administration process was carried out in accordance with international standards to ensure that no learners were disadvantaged.
He went on to say that the collaboration of the Ministries of Education, Interior, and Information and Communication Technology ensured the integrity of the examinations (ICT).
When he released the exams on Monday, Magoha said the Ministry of Education docket is not for the faint of heart and that they had done everything possible to ensure the exams ran smoothly.
“This examination did not leak, for those who were waiting for it to leak, you are mistaken… I want to warn you that I have the choice to remain a CS until tomorrow, if you choose to put the career online, we will punish children, parents and teachers,” he said.
“It is criminal to confuse a young star. Those who are bold and doing so taking money from these people must be prepared to face the consequences that are coming.”
Once the results are available, candidates can obtain them by sending their index numbers to code 20076.
